Tidewalker Band | Deer Isle, Maine | Lobster Flavored Rock ‘n Roll

The Tidewalker Band grew out of a solo project by Burt Leach, known locally as the “Fishin’ Musician.” Songs about lobstering and fishing life on Deer Isle formed the basis of the first three Tidewalker CDs. In 2022, a full band was recruited to bring the music to life on stage, taking what was essentially a one-man studio project and giving it the live sound it deserved.

Kevin Dodge on bass guitar, Richard Buxton on drums, and Hank Whitsett on lead guitar have performed regularly over the past three years, both locally and at the Common Ground Fair. A new CD featuring the full band is due out in the summer of 2026.

Live, the band plays danceable classic rock alongside their signature Lobster Flavored originals, the kind of music that feels right on the Maine coast.
